HIGH T VOICE.← BACK TO THE TEST

WHAT “HIGH-T” MEANS HERE

“High-T” is short for “high testosterone.” Here, it names a deep, full, commanding voice vibe: the style this game rewards, not a hormone level.

A 2020 study of 160 men linked lower voice pitch with perceived dominance, while its findings about testosterone depended on cortisol levels. That research did not validate this game or its scoring formula.

INPUT

The test samples a seven-second live microphone stream while you read one fixed sentence. The stream is processed by the Web Audio API in your browser; no recording file is created. Very quiet frames and pitch estimates outside the expected 70–280 Hz analysis range are rejected.

THE FOUR GAMEPLAY FEATURES

  1. Depth, 38%: primarily derived from median fundamental frequency.
  2. Resonance, 26%: a rough high-frequency-content proxy, not a clinical formant analysis.
  3. Weight, 18%: a normalized signal-energy proxy affected by microphone distance and gain.
  4. Control, 18%: pitch stability across accepted frames.

The weighted score is clamped to 31–97. The gameplay weights are unchanged from V4. V5 removes the age selector because age was not part of the calculation.

On September 11, 2026, pitch detection was corrected to reduce errors where a repeated waveform period made a voice appear much lower. Results from before that correction may differ; they are not a comparable baseline. This correction does not establish accuracy on all voices or devices.

A GAME SCORE, NOT A RANKING

V5 shows one acoustic game score and a playful voice-type label. Older versions displayed a mathematical percentile mapping; it was not measured against other people and has been removed. The formula has not been calibrated against a representative population or listener panel.

THE HARD LIMIT

Correlation does not make an individual voice recording a blood test. Adult voice is also shaped by anatomy, puberty, age, learned behavior, language, illness, recording conditions and deliberate vocal technique. High T Voice therefore makes no claim about current testosterone, medication use, fertility or health.

BETTER PERSONAL COMPARISONS

For a more useful runback, use the same device, room, sentence, distance and time of day. Personal trends under controlled conditions are more defensible than comparing absolute scores across different hardware.
